Job summary

Vector Atomic, Inc. is seeking a senior electrical design engineer to own the end-to-end development of high-density PCBs for quantum instruments. You will coordinate schematics, layouts, fabrication, testing, and integration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, integrated hardware environment.

The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of experience in complex PCBA design, strong ECAD skills (Altium preferred), and a track record in high-precision

Qualifications

• Requires Ph.D. or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field with 12+ years of experience or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional electrical design experience with complex mixed-signal PCBA designs using ECAD tools; Altium Designer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicists and engineers to translate requirements into electronic designs for quantum instruments.
• Own end-to-end development of complex PCBs, including schematics, layouts, fabrication coordination, and verification.
• Drive design improvements and process updates to PCB development and engineering procedures.
• Support manufacturing by troubleshooting issues, developing test procedures, and ensuring board yield and quality targets.
• Assist with PCB bring-up and debugging, document rework, and track issues.
