Job summary

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled PCB Designer to design and lay out complex PCBs using Altium Designer. You will collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics into optimized board layouts and ensure signal, power, and thermal integrity across multi-layer designs.

The role is fully remote with working hours aligned to EST, contract-based, and based out of New York, NY. Compensation is hourly with eligibility for standard benefits as applicable to the temporary role.

Job Title: PCB Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Designer with expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in designing and laying out complex, multi-layer PCBs, ranging from 4 to 16+ layers, and will work from schematic capture through production release.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout complex, multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics into optimized board layouts.
• Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance in board designs.
• Manage library components and generate output files for production.

Essential Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in Altium Designer with at least 3+ years of continuous experience.
• Strong experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, and library management.
• Ability to design and layout PCBs with 416+ layers.
• Excellent collaboration skills with electrical engineers.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position with working hours aligned to Eastern Standard Time (EST).

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
