Job summary

Lone Star College–Tomball is seeking a Technician III to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. You will install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware while ensuring optimal workstation performance and end-user satisfaction.

The role requires detailed knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Unix, plus a strong customer service orientation and the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical users. Collaboration with the IT team is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of Windows, Mac, and Unix operating systems.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to explain technical topics.
• Familiarity with IT concepts and how they apply to end-user support.
• Ability to work with management to establish standards and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Work with end users to identify and deliver required PC services.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware and software.
• Provide end-user training and assistance as required.
• Respond to calls, pages, or emails regarding PC and hardware problems.
• Document hardware failures, repairs, and configurations.
