Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a Technician III to support and maintain computer systems, desktops, and peripherals on-site in Conroe, TX. You will install, diagnose, repair, and upgrade hardware and software while ensuring optimal workstation performance.

Responsibilities include end-user training, prioritizing tickets, and maintaining hardware inventories. Strong customer service and OS knowledge are essential for timely problem resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience with Windows, Mac, and Unix operating systems.
• Ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver required PC services for end users.
• Provide training and support to end users and staff on computer operations.
• Install, configure, test and troubleshoot end user hardware and networking devices.
• Install and maintain end user software and networking software.
• Analyze and resolve semi-complex PC problems onsite.
• Handle calls, pages, and emails regarding PC issues.
• Maintain inventory of monitors, keyboards, drives, printers, and peripherals.
• Contribute to logging, reporting and monitoring PC performance.
• Document hardware failure, repair, installation and removal.
• Create and test customized configurations across platforms and OSs.
• Schedule and perform PC upgrades and repairs.
