ESHYFT is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead high-volume payroll operations for ~4,000 independent contractors and 500 W-2 clinicians, with availability during payroll-critical windows and after-hours support. You will own the master calendar, ensure accurate payments, and drive process improvements across timekeeping, funding, and compliance.

The role requires 7+ years in payroll/financial operations, multi-state W-2 and 1099 experience, and strong leadership.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of progressively responsible payroll, workforce-payment, or comparable high-volume financial-operations experience, including at least three years leading teams.
• Ownership of multi-state W-2 payroll and 1099 contractor-payment operations; healthcare staffing or similar high-volume environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, overtime, deductions, garnishments, unemployment, paid leave, year-end reporting, and payroll audit support.
• Experience with payroll/timekeeping platforms, instant-pay or payment processors, banking interfaces, ERP systems, implementations, and advanced Excel; Power Query, SQL, or BI experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business or related field; CPP designation a plus.
• Demonstrates ownership and urgency in meeting pay deadlines and escalating risk.
• Balances speed with validation, approvals, security, and segregation of duties.
• Data fluency with evidence-driven performance management.
• Leads teams with clear expectations and accountability.
• Cross-functional leadership to drive resolution and prevention.

Responsabilidades

• Own the master calendar and execution for weekly W-2 payroll and 1099 payments, including cutoffs, validation, approvals, funding, and closeout.
• Oversee hours, rates, differentials, deductions, taxes, and adjustments; reject inputs lacking support.
• Manage Instant Pay and standard payouts, including prevention of duplicates, rejects, and retries.
• Maintain documented continuity procedures and appropriate payroll coverage.
• Own queues for timecards, inquiries, and discrepancies; set service levels and escalation protocols.
• Coordinate with Billing, AR, HR to resolve payroll-billing exceptions and ensure audit trails.
• Cross-train as backup for credit/collections coverage; ensure proper documentation and escalation.
• Deliver cycle-close package to Accounting within three business days.
• Lead compliance and governance for multi-state payroll and reporting.
• Develop SOPs, controls, and training to improve payroll operations.
• Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
