Intuit seeks a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax notices, amend returns, and correct payroll errors across multiple states. The role emphasizes independence, accuracy, and mentoring peers while handling a high-volume caseload with strong technical depth.

This remote, flexible-hour position supports the PTO team with end-to-end tax case work, agency communications, and collaboration across Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams.

Competenze

• 2–3+ years of hands-on payroll tax experience focusing on notices, amended returns, and error correction across multiple states.
• Experience with IRS/state notices; ability to read notices and determine resolution paths.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.

Mansioni

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, including filings and payments.
• Research and resolve complex State and Federal payroll tax notices independently.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation and submit by deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, state equivalents) independently for complex amendments.
• Support correction workflows by identifying error sources and documenting the audit trail.
• Manage personal WIP queue and prioritize cases by SLA dates.
• Perform trend analysis to identify process or system deficiencies.
• Contribute to SOPs and KB updates; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
