Intuit, Inc. is seeking a senior Payroll Tax Expert and SME to lead end-to-end resolution of notices, corrections, and amendments. This role focuses on fixing payroll tax issues across multiple states, while mentoring peers and driving process improvements.

The position supports SelectTime services with flexible hours, offering hourly, non-exempt work and potential overtime. Candidates should have 4+ years of payroll tax experience and CPP/EA differentiators are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with emphasis on tax defect resolution for notices and amended returns.
• Expert knowledge of Federal and State payroll tax notices and remediation processes.
• Experience drafting penalty abatements and agency responses with documentation.
• Deep knowledge of Form 941-X, W-2c and multi-state payroll tax requirements.

Responsabilités

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices end-to-end, from intake to closure.
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns across multiple states with reconciliation.
• Diagnose payroll tax errors across pay periods and drive complete corrections.
• Coach and mentor junior staff; conduct quarterly SBIC-based coaching sessions.
• Maintain SOPs and KB articles; identify recurring errors and drive improvements.
