Intuit is hiring a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to serve as a senior payroll tax SME within Payroll Tax Operations. The role focuses on end-to-end resolution of notices, corrections, and amendments, leading complex cases and coaching teammates to build capability.

The role requires deep knowledge of federal/state payroll tax rules, multi-state exposure, and excellence in documenting processes and compliance. The position is with SelectTime, offering flexible hours and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with focus on tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notice types; ability to draft penalty abatement requests with documentation.
• Hands-on experience preparing amended Federal (Form 941-X, W-2c) and State returns across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex payroll tax notices across multi-quarter, multi-state scenarios, owning the full case lifecycle.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states end-to-end.
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions; trace discrepancies and drive corrections.
