Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to lead resolution of complex payroll tax issues, including notices, amendments, and corrections. This remote, hourly role emphasizes tax defect resolution and domain expertise to elevate team capability and ensure timely, accurate filings across states.

The role focuses on fixing payroll tax problems rather than processing payroll, with overtime eligibility and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in payroll tax defect resolution for notices and amended returns.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices and response requirements.
• Experience preparing and approving amended Federal (Form 941-X) and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.
• CPP/EA qualifications or progress are a strong differentiator.

Responsabilités

• Resolve complex payroll tax notices across multiple states end-to-end, including multi-quarter scenarios.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) across 10+ states.
• Coach and mentor junior staff; share knowledge to build team capability.
• Identify trends and drive corrective actions with stakeholders to prevent recurrence.
