Intuit is seeking a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to serve as a senior SME, owning complex state and federal tax notices and amended return work across multiple states. Qualifications

• 4+ years in payroll tax with focus on tax defect resolution for notices and amended returns
• Expert knowledge of State and Federal payroll tax notices and responses
• Hands-on experience filing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (941-X, W-2c)
• Deep knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW and state/local payroll tax rules
• Lead or SME experience with coaching junior staff

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices end-to-end
• Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns across multiple states
• Diagnose payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods and jurisdictions
• Coach and train team members; support process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments and Tax Notice teams to resolve issues
