Job summary

Intuit seeks a Staff Payroll Tax Processor to serve as a senior Payroll Tax SME responsible for resolving complex State and Federal notices, corrections, and amendments. You will own the most challenging cases and mentor less experienced staff.

Responsibilities include preparing amended returns (941-X and state equivalents), driving root-cause analysis, and authoring SOPs/KB articles. CPP/EA preferred; flex hours with SelectTime engagement may apply.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in payroll tax defect resolution across multiple states.
• Expert knowledge of state and federal payroll tax notices and amended returns.
• Experience preparing and approving amended Federal (941-X) and State payroll tax returns across multiple states.
• Lead/Senior SME experience with coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Resolve the most complex payroll tax notices across multiple states.
• Prepare and file amended Federal and State payroll tax returns (941-X and state equivalents).
• Diagnose and resolve payroll tax errors spanning multiple pay periods or jurisdictions.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and lead coaching sessions.
• Develop SOPs and KB articles; drive process improvements.
