Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve complex payroll tax issues across notices, corrections, amendments, and pay & file. This role emphasizes independent case ownership, technical depth, and mentorship within a high-volume environment.

You will handle notices, amend returns, and ensure timely compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position offers flexible hours with a minimum weekly commitment and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on payroll tax experience focused on notice resolution, amended returns, and payroll error correction across multiple states.
• Proficient in federal/state notice types and able to determine resolution paths.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts, including audit and tax filings.
• Independently research and resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices.
• Prepare agency responses with supporting documentation by deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) for complex amendments.
• Support correction workflows and document audit trails from intake to closure.
• Manage personal WIP queue and maintain thorough case documentation.
• Perform high-level trend analysis to identify deficiencies.
• Contribute to SOPs and KB updates and coach peers.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, and Pay & File teams.
