Job summary

Transition Staffing Group is seeking a Payroll Supervisor in Chula Vista to own the biweekly payroll for about 160 employees across four entities. The role requires end-to-end payroll, multi-state compliance, and independence in processing, reconciliation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience, owning end-to-end cycle.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll, wage/hour, and payroll tax rules.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Own and process biweekly payroll for ~160 employees across four entities and multiple states.
• Review payroll data for accuracy including earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries.
• Manage 401(k) contributions and employer matches where applicable.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for management and HR.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and documentation.
