Job summary

Astronova,-Inc. is seeking a Payroll Administrator in Rhode Island to manage US payroll, ensure data integrity, and support related financial controls within the Finance department.

You will partner with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure timely payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting. The role requires multi-state experience, strong ADP skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in accounting/finance/HR.
• Five or more years of payroll administration experience.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll and wage/deduction rules.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll system.

Responsibilities

• Own domestic payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now, including weekly and bi-weekly cycles.
• Collect, validate timekeeping data, earnings, deductions, and changes before processing.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and verify gross-to-net accuracy.
• Coordinate with HR on hires, terminations, leaves, and compensation changes.
• Handle garnishments and other required deductions per regulations.
• Maintain payroll records, SOPs, and audit documentation for compliance.
