Job summary

Sloan Valve Company is seeking a Payroll Administrator II to administer and reconcile payroll for U.S. employees across multiple states and pay groups.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, acting as a subject matter expert in payroll operations and collaborating with HR and Finance. You will work with SAP, ADP Workforce Now, SuccessFactors Employee Central, and UKG Time and Attendance, handling complex issues, reporting, and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of payroll processing and administration experience.
• Experience with multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Experience with payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping systems.
• Detail oriented with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to resolve complex payroll issues and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Administer and process payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states.
• Serve as main contact for complex payroll inquiries, tax issues, garnishments, and deductions.
• Collaborate with vendors on system administration, testing, and reporting (SAP, ADP, SuccessFactors, UKG).
• Run and audit payroll reports and time evaluation reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Review inputs, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions with HR and supervisors.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and support month-end and year-end closings.
• Process off-cycle payrolls, bonuses, retroactive adjustments, and other transactions.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and wage garnishments.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting and regulatory filings.
• Support audits and reconciliation requests.
• Take on other duties as needed.
