HES Facilities Management is seeking a Sr. Payroll Specialist to process and manage the company’s payroll. You will calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments.

The role emphasizes strong technical skills in payroll processing and compliance, with experience in multi-state, high-volume environments and proficiency in ADP and Winteam. This in-office position requires effective communication and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with multi-state high volume payrolls with at least 5+ years of Payroll Experience.
• Proficiency in calculations, data analysis, and problem-solving is needed to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• A strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements is essential.
• A willingness to learn new systems and processes, adapt to changing regulations, and resolve complex payroll issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with employees, managers, and other stakeholders on payroll-related matters.
• The ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical for avoiding errors in payroll calculations and data entry.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of relevant software (e.g. ADP) and databases
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus
• Providing excellent customer service to employees regarding their pay and benefits.
• Willingness and ability to work in a team, under pressure and meet deadlines
• Action oriented / initiative approach to work

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing using Winteam and ADP Smart Compliance
• Maintain and process payroll records and reports for accounting of salary/wages due, accruals, deductions and other payroll related duties.
• Compliance – Ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations
• Troubleshooting and problem solving – Addressing payroll related inquiries and escalating when necessary
• Audit current processes to reduce the number of payroll related errors
• Provide support to leadership as tasks are assigned
• Acquiring proper approval from upper management for additional payments when needed
• Process and respond to Garnishment notices
