Job summary

USIC, LLC is seeking a Sr. Payroll Specialist in Indianapolis, hybrid with two days remote weekly. You will run multi-state payroll using Workday, audit adjustments, and address payroll issues while ensuring internal controls and data quality across the system.

As a subject matter expert, you will support the payroll team, drive process improvements, and assist with quarter- and year-end tasks. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ payroll experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field or equivalent payroll experience.
• 3+ years’ experience with payroll processing in a multistate environment.
• Proficient with Workday and advanced Excel functions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly and bi-weekly multistate payroll using Workday.
• Audit and batch input payroll adjustments and off-cycle runs.
• Triage payroll issues and respond to ZenDesk tickets.
• Prepare payroll processing audits and assist with year-end adjustments.
