CFS in Tacoma is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll for a large workforce in a hybrid role. You will ensure accurate processing and compliance across states, supporting a dynamic organization.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of high-volume payroll experience, expertise in payroll tax, garnishments, and timekeeping, plus strong Excel and HRIS skills. CPP and UKG are a plus, and Canadian payroll experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of high-volume, multi-state payroll experience supporting 1,000+ employees.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax, garnishments, compliance, and timekeeping processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with payroll and HRIS systems.
• Adaptability; Willingness to switch gears and support others.
• Canadian payroll experience is a plus.
• UKG experience is a plus.
• CPP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll for employees across the U.S
• Manage new hires, terminations, status changes, leave administration, and payroll adjustments.
• Audit payroll data and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide exceptional employee support.
• Support payroll projects, system implementations, acquisitions/startups, process improvements and cross train
