Job summary

Auto Warehousing Company, Inc. (AWC) is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist for our corporate office in Tacoma, WA, offering a hybrid work setting with three days in the Tacoma office.

The successful candidate will manage all payroll activities for staff, including hires, changes, terminations, and processing, across the US and Canada. Minimum 8 years of multi-state payroll experience, preferably with UKG, CPP certification a plus.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience processing payroll across multiple states; Canada payroll experience a plus.
• UKG software experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to create and deliver training and support for system implementations.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for US staff, including exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Provide backup for US and Canada payroll during absences or startups.
• Support system implementations and special projects.
• Audit payroll data for locations in US and Canada.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information.
• Respond to payroll questions and assist with timekeeping and garnishments.
