Job summary

Auto Warehousing Company in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for US and Canada, in a hybrid role based at our corporate office.

You will handle weekly payroll processing, new hires, terminations, and payroll audits, and you will work with UKG and HRIS tools while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

This position requires 8 years of multi-state payroll experience and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience processing payroll across multiple states (Canada a plus).
• Experience with UKG payroll software preferred.
• Strong Excel and HRIS experience with reporting.
• Must understand multi-state payroll compliance and tax filings.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly staff payroll for US (and Canada during absences).
• Assist with hires, terminations, status changes, and garnishments.
• Prepare payroll reports and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Audit data and resolve discrepancies; protect confidentiality.
• Support system implementations and special payroll projects.
