Job summary

Raise is hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist on a contract basis to independently manage accurate, on-time payroll processing and issue resolution in a fast-paced environment. The role supports end-to-end weekly and biweekly payroll operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include processing full-cycle payroll for ~60,000 U.S. employees, managing off-cycle runs, banking transactions, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Accounting, Human Resources or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited and 4 years relevant work experience).
• Experience: 5+ years' multi-state payroll experience, and 3 years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience. (However, will consider 2+ years Payroll Processing experience, and 0 years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience)
• Payroll processing knowledge and experience with end-to-end weekly and biweekly payroll processing across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute end-to-end weekly/biweekly payroll processing for ~60,000 U.S. employees across states.
• Process Regular and Mass Off-Cycle payrolls per policies and schedule.
• Handle payroll banking transactions, including stop payments and direct deposit issues.
• Run, format, and analyze payroll reports for accuracy and audits.
• Research and resolve general payroll inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with payroll and cross-functional partners to meet service commitments.
