Citizens Energy Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Indianapolis to manage end-to-end payroll processing on a bi-weekly cycle. You will validate timekeeping, handle deductions, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while coordinating with HR, Accounting, and Treasury.

The role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. A hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualificações

• Associate’s degree or equivalent payroll experience.
• 5+ years of payroll administration experience.
• Knowledge of federal/state/local payroll tax, wage/hour, garnishments, deductions, year-end processes.
• Advanced Excel skills: PivotTables, lookups, formulas, reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Process and audit bi-weekly payroll with timekeeping, earnings, deductions, direct deposits, off-cycle payments, and final pay.
• Validate payroll data, employee transactions, changes, leave payments, accruals for accuracy.
• Administer taxes, benefits, retirement contributions, garnishments, and deductions.
• Review payroll reports, reconcile related accounts, and resolve discrepancies for audit readiness.
• Support payroll compliance with regs; maintain confidentiality of employee information.
• Process union remittances, maintain dues records, and assist with audits and reporting.
• Maintain employee payroll records and system data (tax elections, direct deposits).
• Research, test, and resolve payroll system issues; support enhancements and projects.
• Manage quarter-end/year-end payroll activities including W-2s and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare payroll reports and respond to inquiries from employees/leaders.
