Job summary

VSC Fire & Security Corporate is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage weekly payroll for a high-volume, multi-state environment. Responsibilities include processing, reviewing, and reconciling payroll data, handling bonuses, garnishments, and deductions, and ensuring compliance with wage-and-hour laws.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of payroll experience, proficiency with UKG and Excel, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with teams

Qualifications

• : 2+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment.
• : Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred.
• : Knowledge of payroll processes, deductions, taxes, and wage-and-hour requirements.
• : Experience with payroll/timekeeping systems; UKG knowledge preferred.
• : Strong accuracy and attention to detail with sensitive compensation data.
• : Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• : Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and timely per payroll schedules and deadlines.
• Verify weekly payroll using division hours and ensure compliance with policies and wage-and-hour standards.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before finalization.
• Handle payroll adjustments, manual checks, off-cycle payrolls, bonuses, and special payments.
• Maintain proper withholding/remittance of garnishments, child support, and deductions.
• Respond to payroll questions from employees, managers, and leadership; research issues to resolution.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel and payroll records.
• Prepare for records requests from subpoenas, government agencies, audits or other authorized requests.
• Enter and process bonus checks and other supplemental payments.
• Calculate benefit deduction changes due to leaves of absence.
• Reconcile payroll and resolve discrepancies; assist with year-end tasks including W-2s.
• Assist with payroll system testing, updates, and process improvements.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll requirements.
