Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a payroll leader to oversee complex, multi-state payroll and ensure regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local laws. You will partner with Finance and People teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements in a dynamic construction environment.

The role emphasizes tax and 401k administration with opportunities to mentor Payroll Specialists and Coordinators, contributing to accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in payroll administration or multi-state payroll processing.
• FPC or CPP certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and garnishment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Processes and reviews multi-state payroll for accuracy and compliance.
• Audits wage calculations, deductions, and adjustments.
• Reconciles payroll accounts with Finance and People practices teams on discrepancies.
• Interprets payroll policies, tax regulations, and garnishments.
• Prepares complex payroll and compliance reports for management.
• Provides guidance and training to Payroll Specialists and Coordinators.
• Supports implementation of payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.
