Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll readiness for craft and administrative employees across assigned business units. You will review timekeeping data for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with union agreements and wage/hour requirements.

You will serve as the main local resource for payroll inquiries and coordinate with Shared Services Payroll for corrections and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field required.
2–4 years of experience in payroll processing, timekeeping administration, or related field.
Experience with multi-state payroll environments or union payroll practices preferred.

Responsibilities

Reviews, validates, and approves employee time entries across timekeeping systems for payroll processing.
Identifies and resolves discrepancies in time and pay data before payroll submission.
Responds to payroll-related inquiries and guides craft and administrative employees.
Coordinates payroll corrections with Shared Services Payroll and resolves pay-related issues.
Supports onboarding/offboarding activities, system setup, tax elections, and timekeeping access.
Ensures compliance with payroll regulations, wage/hour requirements, and company policies.
Collaborates with field leadership and People Practices to support payroll readiness and operations.
