Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll, ensure compliance, and drive system improvements. You will lead a payroll team and collaborate with People Practices and Finance leaders on policy interpretations and tax filings.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10–12 years of progressive payroll leadership experience, plus CPP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manages end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time processing.
  • Oversees payroll tax reporting, reconciliations, and filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Leads, manages, develops, and evaluates payroll team members to promote accuracy, consistency, and professional growth.
  • Collaborates with people practices and Finance leaders on payroll policy interpretation, benefit deductions, and system integrations.
  • Implements process improvements and technology enhancements to increase efficiency.
  • Oversees payroll audits, controls, and compliance initiatives to reduce risk.
  • Monitors legislative changes affecting payroll operations and ensures timely updates to procedures and systems.

Job Summary: Manages payroll operations for the organization, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of employee compensation. Oversees payroll processes, reporting, and system functionality while providing leadership to the payroll team. Collaborates with people practices, Finance, and other stakeholders to implement payroll policies, resolve complex issues, and drive process and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time processing.
  • Oversees payroll tax reporting, reconciliations, and filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field required.
Work Experience
  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in payroll management or administration required, including team leadership responsibilities.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required.
