Job summary

Kodiak Building Partners is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage payroll across our regional OpCos. You will ensure accurate, on-time pay and compliance with federal, state, and local laws, applying consistent processes across entities.

The role requires expertise in ADP Workforce Now and collaboration with HR and Finance. Responsibilities include setup for acquisitions, payroll audits, SOP creation, and ongoing support for system enhancements and tax configurations.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• 3–5 years payroll experience in multi-entity, multi-state environments.
• Well-versed in ADP Workforce Now with full functionality for payroll, reporting and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll taxes and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing and oversight for multiple OpCos within the region.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping with HR partners and ensure on-time payrolls.
• Review payroll submissions for hours, earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• Handle off-cycle payroll runs (bonuses, corrections, retroactive adjustments).
• Coordinate ADP file feeds and GL mappings; support acquisitions onboarding.
• Perform payroll audits and assist with tax filings and documentation.
