Job summary

Momentum for Health in San Jose, CA is seeking a Payroll Administrator. The role supports bi-weekly payroll processing, benefits deductions, and HRIS maintenance in a 30–40 hour workweek with Monday–Friday hours and flexible start times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in accounting/finance/business administration preferred.
• Two or more years of payroll administration experience.
• Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions and taxes using payroll systems such as UKG or ADP.
• Review timesheets and status changes to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Coordinate payroll transactions for hires, terminations, promotions and benefit deductions.
• Prepare payroll-related reports, filings and year-end activities.
• Respond to employee inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain payroll records for audits and tax forms.
