Job summary

American Textile Company is seeking a Senior Payroll Professional to own end-to-end payroll for a global workforce. You will process semi-monthly, biweekly, and weekly runs, provide policy guidance to HR, and support benefits and leave initiatives.

Strong HRIS (UKG) experience and CPP certification are highly valued, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. You will partner with HR and Finance, manage garnishments, and drive system improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and reporting

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience; multi-state payroll expected
  • CPP Certification preferred
  • Manufacturing payroll experience; union/non-union environments preferred
  • HRIS experience required; UKG experience strongly preferred
  • In-depth Total Rewards knowledge with focus on payroll and benefits
  • Ability to interpret and reinforce company policies effectively
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to run reports and communicate findings clearly

Responsibilities

  • Processes payrolls for semi-monthly, biweekly, and weekly pay groups in coordination with the payroll team
  • Review timesheets for accuracy, verify non-worked earnings, and ensure approvals are obtainable
  • Validate labor tracking data and review new hire, termination, and employee change data in the HRIS system
  • Provide guidance to HR Generalists and Recruiters on payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain payroll reports and provide accurate information to Finance to support reconciliations, tax reporting, and GL postings
  • Accurately process garnishments and support payroll-related audits
  • Partner with the payroll team on system projects and upgrades to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Acts as a payroll subject matter expert and leverages expertise to support HR Generalists, Recruiters, and the broader HR team
  • Administer employee benefits programs and provide guidance on leave laws (FMLA, ADA, disability)
  • Collaborate with HR Generalists to guide the leave process and ensure accurate, timely communication with employees
  • Support benefits and leave recordkeeping and compliance efforts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive, hands-on end-to-end payroll experience; multi-state payroll processing is a plus
  • CPP Certification a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting; both union and non-union environments preferred
  • Proficiency in HRIS is required; prior experience with UKG is strongly preferred
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in Total Rewards, with a focus on payroll and benefits administration
  • Ability to interpret and reinforce company policies effectively
