La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee the full payroll function in our California operations. You will coordinate end-to-end payroll processes, ensure statutory compliance, and partner with Human Resources, Finance, and site managers.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processing and HRIS systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and internal controls.
• Experience managing payroll staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Workday HRIS and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for the organization.
• Supervise the Payroll Specialist and provide training and oversight.
• Maintain accurate payroll records in collaboration with HR and Finance.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and internal controls.
• Manage payroll adjustments, bonuses, reimbursements, and garnishments.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations for the Director of Finance.
• Protect payroll confidentiality and data security.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for payroll and labor.
