Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for field and office employees in a growing construction environment. The role owns the full payroll process, ensuring accurate payments while complying with federal, state, local, and union requirements.

The incumbent will improve payroll processes, systems, and technology, partnering with Finance, HR, IT, and Operations to enhance efficiency and controls during growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, and/or payroll.
• 3–5 years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
• Union payroll and collective bargaining agreements experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complete payroll process for field and office employees.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing per deadlines.
• Manage union payroll payments and compliance with agreements.
• Maintain payroll records and confidentiality of employee data.
• Assist with payroll system configurations and technology initiatives.
• Prepare payroll reports and support audits and controls.
