Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a seasoned Payroll Manager to lead a nationwide function across 35+ states, supporting 200-400 employees in an ESOP-driven environment. The role emphasizes multi-state compliance, union payroll, certified payroll reporting, and strong team leadership.

Salary is $110,000-$130,000 plus bonus and comprehensive benefits. This hybrid role offers ownership and the chance to optimize payroll processes, reporting, and controls with HR and Finance.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years progressive payroll experience with 3 years leadership
• Experience with ADP or enterprise payroll platforms including administration
• Experience with multi-state payroll across numerous jurisdictions
• Knowledge of union payroll, certified payroll reporting, and prevailing wage

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll for union and non-union employees across multiple states
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements
• Administer payroll per CBAs, including wages, fringes, deductions, remittances
• Oversee certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance for public works
• Lead payroll audits, reconciliations, census reporting, and compliance reviews
• Partner with Finance on reconciliations, reporting, audits, controls
• Serve as internal payroll systems resource for software admin and enhancements
• Supervise Payroll Associate and manage weekly/monthly/annual obligations
• Independently manage recurring payroll obligations and deadlines
