NATIONAL RETAIL TRANSPORTATION is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll across the organization, partnering with HR, Operations, Finance, and field leadership to ensure accurate, compliant payroll in a multi-state environment.

The role oversees audits, reporting, and process improvement, serves as UKG payroll SME, and mentors payroll staff across locations, including California wage and hour compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of California wage and hour laws.
• Advanced proficiency in UKG Payroll and familiarity with WFM.
• Excellent auditing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll processing for field and office employees.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Finance and field leadership.
• Audit and validate payroll data, timecards, and labor allocations.
• Process payroll adjustments and deductions with discretion.
• Design and enforce standardized payroll policies and controls.
• Serve as UKG payroll subject matter expert, optimize configurations and reporting.
• Oversee payroll tax compliance and year-end activities.
• Develop payroll metrics and dashboards to monitor accuracy and efficiency.
• Train and manage payroll staff across locations.
