Scholar Rock, Inc. in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Payroll Manager to join the finance team. Reporting to the Director of Payroll, you will lead end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state workforce in a public company environment.

You will ensure timely, accurate payroll, compliance with federal, state, and local laws, maintain records, and collaborate with HR and external vendors. Proficiency with Paylocity, ADP, Workday, or Ceridian/Dayforce is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Proficient in payroll regulations, wage and hour rules, and tax reporting.
• Experience with Paylocity, ADP, Workday, Ceridian/Dayforce, or similar systems.
• Strong Excel and payroll reporting skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees across applicable pay cycles.
• Review and approve payroll data, including earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, overtime, bonuses, and off-cycle payments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, controls, and audit trails.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll reports, GL entries, and year-end activities.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll issues and support data changes.
• Serve as an escalation point for payroll inquiries and discrepancies.
• Monitor changes in payroll regulations and implement updates.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects as needed.
