Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive payroll leadership in multi-state environments; construction/seasonal experience advantageous.
• Expert proficiency in Paycom or similar enterprise HRIS.
• CPP designation is a strong plus.
• Experience managing complex commission and bonus structures.
• Deep knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance, taxes, and reporting.
• Strong cross-functional relationship-building across Finance and Benefits.
• Experience leading payroll integrations for M&A.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct multi-state, bi-weekly payroll operations for a 1,000+ workforce.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payroll while complying with federal and state regulations.
• Standardize payroll workflows across the enterprise, including after M&A activity.
• Govern payroll tax compliance, filings, and reporting to mitigate risk.
• Maintain internal controls, thorough documentation, and audit readiness.
• Resolve payroll inquiries with high-touch service to employees.
