Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the multi-site payroll for 750+ hourly and salaried employees across multiple states. This hands-on role supervises a payroll specialist and ensures accuracy in wages, deductions, and route pay while maintaining compliance.

You will partner with HR, Finance, and Operations, manage ADP Workforce Now configurations, and drive process improvements. A strong background in payroll compliance and governance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting/Finance/Business.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, multi-state.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end multi-site payroll for 750+ employees across states.
• Verify timekeeping, route pay, OT, deductions, and bonuses.
• Approve ADP payroll batches and post to GL.
• Maintain payroll records and respond to inquiries.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with HR/Finance/Operations on reporting and processes.
• Lead system upgrades and governance for payroll processes.
