Butler Rose Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Manager to lead an established payroll team and take ownership of the growing payroll service. The role will be based from Warrington or Liverpool, with a predominantly home-based hybrid setup and a salary circa £60,000-£70,000 plus bonus.

You will oversee transitioning the operation in-house, manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensure RTI and year-end accuracy, and drive continuous service improvements and client growth for the payroll

Qualifications

• Experience managing payroll operations and leading a payroll team.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance.
• Payroll qualifications or certifications preferred.
• Commercially minded with the ability to grow a payroll service.

Responsabilités

• Take overall responsibility for the payroll department and shape its future strategy.
• Support the transition of the payroll operation into the business.
• Oversee accurate weekly and monthly payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, tax regulations and deadlines.
• Oversee year-end processes and RTI submissions.
• Lead, train and mentor a team of payroll professionals.
• Support recruitment and development as the team grows.
• Identify process improvements and service delivery enhancements.
• Contribute to growth of the payroll service, including business development and marketing.
