Job summary

CF Industries Holdings is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to lead US/Canada payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing for 1,500+ employees. You will strengthen internal controls, mentor the payroll team, and partner with HR and finance to optimize processes.

You will manage bi-weekly payrolls, tax issues, year-end activities, and vendor relationships, while supporting system upgrades in Workday and related tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of payroll experience; Canadian payroll processing experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business Administration is preferred
• Knowledge of U.S. or Canadian laws and regulations affecting payroll, including payroll practices and principles.
• In-depth knowledge of tax and governmental compliance in Canada is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office, including Outlook and Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Experience with high-volume payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including 1,500+ active employee records.

Responsibilities

• Leads the execution, review, audit, and finalization of assigned bi-weekly payrolls.
• Establishes payroll priorities and monitors processing activities for accuracy and timeliness.
• Investigates and resolves federal, state/provincial, and local tax issues.
• Assists the manager with year-end processes and W-2/T4 balancing.
• Leads implementation and monitoring of new procedures and internal controls.
• Manages payroll service vendor relationships and ensures timely, compliant tax payments.
• Supports Workday payroll system upgrades and related projects.
• Provides reports for audits and special requests.
• Coaches and develops payroll team members.
