Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a seasoned payroll leader to own and govern our multi-state payroll operations as we launch a new enterprise payroll and HRIS platform. You will drive policy, controls, and compliance for 1,200+ employees across locations, plus oversee post-launch system ownership and integrations with timekeeping, HRIS, benefits, and ERP.

The role demands deep payroll expertise, SOX familiarity, and experience leading major HRIS implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of multi-state payroll experience across multiple locations.
• Led a major payroll/HRIS implementation and developed payroll controls.
• Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules, garnishments, tax, and year-end processing; SOX familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own corporate payroll policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines across sites.
• Serve as SME and escalation point for complex pay, tax, and compliance issues.
• Maintain SOX controls, oversee year-end processes and W-2 accuracy.
• Provide enterprise-level site payroll processing oversight and systemic improvements.
• Lead payroll operations during enterprise payroll/HRIS implementation; define requirements.
• Own payroll system post-launch; ensure integrations with timekeeping, HRIS, benefits, ERP.
• Manage multi-state tax setups, garnishments, child support, and tax levies.
• Partner with Finance, Benefits, and senior HR; train site HR teams with mentorship.
