Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience in consulting, payroll provider, or in-house payroll.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience can substitute.
• CPP certification strongly preferred or in progress.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and multistate regulations.
• Experience with payroll tax forms and filings.
• Familiarity with major payroll systems (ADP, Workday, SAP, Oracle/PeopleSoft, Paycom, Paycor).
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll consulting engagements across a range of clients and geographies.
• Assist in assessing and improving client payroll processes, controls, and procedures.
• Perform multistate payroll compliance reviews (federal, state, local).
• Assist with payroll tax activities, including preparation and review of forms (e.g., 941, 941-X, W-2C).
• Assist with payroll setup and configuration (earnings, deductions, tax treatments).
• Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support employee classification, wage treatment, and overtime reviews.
• Research and apply payroll regulations, including reciprocity and multistate considerations.
