Job summary

PrismHR, a leading payroll, benefits, and HR software provider, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Higginbotham HR Services team hybrid in a professional office setting or home office. You will handle payroll for an assigned client list and collaborate with HR, Benefits, and tax teams to ensure accurate processing and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with standard payroll software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years payroll experience or CPP/FPC preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal and state payroll laws and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Payroll administration for assigned client list.
• Process payroll for client(s) using preferred payroll software.
• Manage time & attendance system; train as needed.
• Process and review payroll reports and provide to client contacts.
• Set up new hires, changes, and terminations in payroll systems.
• Coordinate deductions including garnishments and tax levies.
• Assist with year-end W-2s and inquiries from employees.
• Ensure payroll compliance and respond to payroll tax notices.
