Job summary

PrismHR is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support Higginbotham HR Services by processing payroll for an assigned client list with accuracy and timeliness.

You will manage time and attendance, PTO balances, new hires, deductions, taxes, and year-end W-2s while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and client requirements. This hybrid role requires organization, communication, and collaboration with HRIS and benefits teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years payroll experience or CPP/FPC validation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll software.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for client(s) using payroll software.
• Manage time & attendance system and PTO balances.
• Prepare payroll reports and provide to client contacts each pay cycle.
• Handle new hires, status changes, direct deposit changes, tax changes, address changes, name changes, terminations.
• Coordinate year-end W-2s and answer employee questions.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and client deadlines.
