Job summary

Sedron Technologies is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to own end-to-end payroll and benefits for a mixed workforce including shift-based manufacturing and salaried employees.

You will manage multi-state payroll, CPA/EOR Canada relations, and benefits administration, coordinating with the Director of People Operations and external advisors. Remote work is allowed, with quarterly travel to an office preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll and benefits administration, multi-state, hybrid hourly/salaried.
• CPP or FPC preferred.
• Proficiency with Rippling or similar HRIS; strong Excel skills; multi-state tax compliance tools.
• Washington L&I knowledge and confidential data handling.

Responsibilities

• Own accurate multi-state payroll processing for hourly, shift-based and salaried employees.
• Review and audit timecards; resolve discrepancies in partnership with employees and managers.
• Manage payroll corrections, retroactive pay, final pay, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Establish payroll and benefits controls, audit processes, and documentation.
• Coordinate Canadian payroll via EOR partner; monitor registrations and tax withholdings.
• Administer employee benefits and lead annual open enrollment; renewals and communications.
• Develop payroll/benefits reporting for HR, Finance and leadership.
• Own HRIS configurations and workflows; identify automation opportunities.
• Handle payroll and benefits information with discretion and confidentiality.
