Job summary

Legend Biotech, based in Bridgewater, NJ, is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join the HR Operations team. The position handles the U.S. biweekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt staff in Workday, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across taxes, deductions, and benefits.

The role collaborates with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Legal, supports audits, and strengthens SOX controls. Strong Workday Payroll experience and knowledge of U.S. payroll practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 3–5 years of U.S. payroll experience.
• 3–5 years hands-on Workday Payroll experience, including Time and Absence.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, reconciliations, taxes, and deductions.
• Experience with SOX controls and payroll audits.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process U.S. biweekly payroll and related off-cycle payments.
• Review and process employee changes including hires, terminations, and changes.
• Run payroll calculations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage Time and Absence activities in Workday and related leave impacts.
• Partner with managers and HR to resolve payroll issues.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare related reports.
• Execute and maintain SOX controls and documentation for payroll cycles.
• Support year-end activities including W-2 preparation and distribution.
