Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Bridgewater, NJ seeks a Sr. Payroll Analyst (HR Operations) to manage U.S. biweekly payroll in Workday, including time and absence administration, reconciliations, and reporting.

You will handle tax compliance, SOX controls, year-end activities, and collaborate with HRBPs and Benefits. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of payroll experience are required, with multistate payroll knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years U.S. payroll experience; preferably complex/global.
• 3–5 years hands-on Workday Payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, taxes, and compliance.
• SOX controls and payroll audit experience.
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills.
• English required.

Responsibilities

• Process U.S. biweekly payroll and related off-cycle payments.
• Review and process employee changes (hires, terminations, changes).
• Run payroll calculations and investigate variances.
• Manage Workday Time and Absence activities.
• Resolve payroll issues with managers and HR partners.
• Perform reconciliations and prepare payroll reports.
• Support SOX controls and audits; assist with year-end activities.
