Job summary

City of New York is seeking a Payroll Analyst to research, validate and resolve items on RMDS, PMS, and related payroll reports, ensuring timely payment. You will audit data, confirm retroactive payments and coordinate with payroll staff on daily issues and project work.

Candidates must be permanently serving in Principal Administrative Associate title or reachable on the list. NYC residency is required within 90 days; the agency notes a 55-a Program eligibility and loan forgiveness programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of clerical/administrative experience, one year in a supervisory capacity
• Associate degree or 60 semester credits with three years of clerical/administrative experience including one year supervisory experience
• Four-year high school diploma or equivalent with four years of clerical/administrative experience including one year supervisory experience
• Education and/or experience equivalent to (1)-(3), with the one year supervisory experience required

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate and resolve payroll items on RMDS, PMS, PTAPD160 and PTAPW161; audit reports monthly for anniversary/quarterly payments
• Ensure ATGs and salaries are up to date after title changes; respond to inquiries professionally
• Conduct bi-weekly audit of the 700 report against prior pay cycle as per directives
• Review and audit retroactive details for payment approval; collaborate with Payroll and Personnel on daily issues and project activities
