Job summary

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking a Payroll Compliance Analyst to support salary maturation, ATG eligibility, and pay adjustments in coordination with the Division of Finance. The role reports to the Director of Payroll Compliance and collaborates with CBUs and DCAS title specifications to ensure accurate payments.

The position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous data review, and the ability to respond to inquiries promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a baccalaureate degree and two years of administrative experience, with one year in supervisory capacity.
• Alternative: associate degree with three years of administrative experience, including one year supervisory.
• Equivalency options allow substitution with high school diploma and four years of experience, plus supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Review employee information to process salary maturation for staff.
• Review an employee's history to determine ATG eligibility and pay.
• Submit payment transactions to HRs ESU for NYCAPS processing.
• Review records to determine title/contract pay and ATG information.
• Research and respond to salary inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Create reports and analyze data for special projects.
• Coordinate with Payroll Compliance Auditors to verify CBUs updates.

Education

Baccalaureate degree

Associate degree or 60 semester credits

High school diploma with 4 years experience
