Accountabilities
  • Manage and review automated and manual payroll inputs for the United States and Canada using Workday and CloudPay, with cross‑training opportunities to support payroll operations across EMEA, APAC, and South America.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports on a pay‑period, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accurate payments to employees, employer‑of‑record (EOR) employees, vendors, and statutory authorities.

  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Benefits, Equity, and Human Resources teams to coordinate payroll activities and support global operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, improve operational efficiency, and implement positive changes through automation and technology.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, statutory requirements, and internal company policies.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance teams on payroll reconciliations, reporting, and financial documentation.
  • Investigate payroll tax discrepancies, deductions, and filing issues, leveraging Workday expertise to resolve tax entries with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Support payroll‑related projects, including system implementations, automation initiatives, payroll interfaces, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to payroll inquiries from employees and third‑party partners, providing clear and effective support.
  • Develop, maintain, and update payroll policies, procedures, guidelines, and documentation as processes evolve.
  • Process and reconcile statutory tax payments and third‑party payroll transactions.
  • Act as the primary day‑to‑day contact for payroll tax partners, monitoring and resolving tax cases, government agency notices, and support requests through the OneSource Virtual (OSV) portal.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in payroll operations, preferably within a publicly traded company.
  • Strong experience with payroll processing, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Hands‑on experience with Workday Payroll is strongly preferred.
  • Previous multinational payroll experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with modern data tools, automated reporting, and AI‑assisted technologies to improve workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of payroll taxation, statutory requirements, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple processes and competing priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to resolving discrepancies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with professional fluency in English.
  • Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑oriented, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
