Job summary

Gradient Financial Group is seeking a meticulous Payroll Administrator to own end-to-end payroll for the organization and its affiliates. You will work with Accounting, HR, and external partners to ensure correct payroll data, deductions, and timely processing.

The role requires at least 5 years of payroll experience, strong accuracy, and proficiency with Excel and HRIS systems (Paycor preferred). Hybrid in-office with a remote day available, in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience in a professional environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll processing procedures, wage calculations, deductions, and compliance.
• Experience reviewing timecards and verifying payroll information.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy, with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for 500+ employees across multiple states.
• Manage payroll from start to finish: gather, review, validate, and finalize data.
• Review timecards and inputs for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify payroll changes incl. hires, terminations, and deductions.
• Calculate wages, overtime, and variable compensation.
• Review payroll registers for discrepancies before finalization.
• Ensure correct payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and benefits withholdings.
• Coordinate with HR and partners to resolve payroll questions.
• Support year-end processing and W-2 preparation.
• Identify process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
