Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst for the Payments Risk Operations team. You will serve as the escalation point for complex risk cases across deposits, withdrawals, trading, and flagged activity, influencing rules, models, and policies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in payments risk, fraud operations, or fraud investigations.
• Deep understanding of ACH, cards, wires, and crypto payment rails.
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience tracing funds on-chain.
• Experience reviewing analyst decisions for quality and SOP adherence.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own escalations from Payments Risk Operations and partner teams, including high-dollar losses and complex cases.
• Lead the response to emerging fraud patterns from detection through remediation.
• Maintain expert knowledge of review workflows, SOPs, and risk controls.
• Drive rule and model performance in partnership with Risk Modeling and Analytics.
• Present findings and recommendations to Risk leadership and cross-functional partners.
